Each day at Ruach Ha’Aretz:
Your morning begins with an opportunity to enter into the Godfield through prayer, movement, or silence. Then plunge
into a deep encounter with our theme and the teachers of your choice.
Delicious meals and the sweet encounters with other retreat participants
will provide nourishment between the spiritual and intellectual courses.
Following our afternoon classes, Mincha Time offers opportunities for
enrichment with Torah Circles ... and rest.
Our entire community will gather each evening for programs that celebrate
and enhance our experience, with beautiful music, moving poetry, dancing,
drumming circles, lively discussions and inspired dream work. Our week
together will lead to a Shabbat full of beauty and love in which the
davvening may become the fullest expression of our true selves.
Exciting
Programs for Children and Teens:
Ruach Ha’Aretz sets the standard for fabulously fun and creative
programs for children. For a description of the children's program, click here.
Teens who enjoy spending time with younger children may apply to work
as Children’s Program assistants and receive compensation in the
form of a reduced fee. (To apply, see the online registration page.)
Mitzvah Core:
Ruach Ha’Aretz offers opportunities to deepen your practice of
Mitzvah and service. The Mitzvah Core is a “work-study”
exchange program that manifests the Malchut (grounded reality) of the
retreat by assisting teachers, helping with child-care, setting up for
Shabbat, and all other informal Mitzvot that may arise during the week. For more information, and to apply, click here.

The Bosch Bahai’i School is located on 67 acres in the mountains near Santa Cruz, CA. The grounds include beautiful gardens, meadows, majestic trees and hiking trails. The dining room overlooks a large meadow and playground. The conference center is “state of the art”, and there is a beautiful swimming pool for your enjoyment.
The kitchen will be made kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Victor Gross, who serves as the Mashgiach to OHALAH, the Association of Rabbis for Jewish Renewal; and will feature a variety of vegetarian and fish dishes (with vegan options at each meal).
The staff at Bosch are warm and welcoming, and will make every effort to accommodate all special needs and requests. The conference center, dining room, and some cabins are wheelchair accessible.
LODGING OPTIONS:
Participants will have a choice of comfortable (semi-private and dorm style) lodging in cabins sprinkled around one area of the campus, and three RV sites with full hook-ups.
Accomodations are in comfortable (semi-private and dorm style) cabins. All cabins have porches where one can sit and read or talk as you enjoy the quiet grandeur of the surrounding forest. Linens and towels are provided.
The standard or winter cabins at Bosch have rooms which accomodate 3 to 6 people, each with private bathrooms. Guests staying in summer cabins, which sleep 3 to 8 per room, share a central bathhouse with separate showers, toilets and sinks for women and men.
Families, with children, will be housed together, privately. Best efforts will be made to house couples privately, on a first come, first served basis.
(Alternately, participants may opt to register as commuters and stay at a hotel in Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley. Please keep in mind that you will be responsible for your own transportation to and from the retreat center. In all cases, retreat participants staying at hotels will pay the commuter rate for the week.)
Teens (post Bar/Bat Mitzvah age) will be housed together, by gender, in summer cabins.
If you prefer to stay off-site and commute to Ruach Ha'Aretz:
HOTEL OPTION: We are holding a block of rooms at the Best Western in Scott's Valley, for a special group rate of $87/night (Sun-Thurs) and $131/night (Fri-Sat). These rooms will be held for reservation with this rate until July 29th. To reserve one of these rooms, call 831-438-6666, and ask to speak with Maria. She is holding the rooms under the name of Rhonda Mason. The confirmation number is 22363209. They will put the room in your name once you complete your reservation with your credit card. On the Ruach Ha'Aretz registration form fill in the box and fee for "commuter".
CAMPING OPTION: And, for those who prefer to remain close to the earth...We have reserved a camp site at a local private campground, for tent camping among the towering redwood trees. (Redwood Resort - about 5 miles from Bosch. Address: 150 Grove Street, Boulder Creek, CA 95006). The total fee, including the full Ruach Ha'Aretz program and the campsite rental is $925/adult and $618/child, 3-13 yrs. If you choose this option, please mark the "commuter" box on the registration form and enter the fee as indicated here. In the comments line, at the bottom of the form, please mention that you will be camping at Redwood Resort. Ruach Ha'Aretz will confirm your tent spot and pay the fees at the campground.

GETTING THERE:
Participants traveling by air should fly into the San Jose Airport. Ruach Ha’Aretz is negotiating several options for shuttle and other transportation to and from the airport. Please check back in a few weeks for more information. The ride between the airport and Bosch is one hour. Please make your flight arrangements with the schedule in mind.
